Describe your channel in fifteen words or less:
Reviews, hauls, tutorials on all things beauty as well as some health and fitness videos.
Why did you start your channel?
I first started makeup videos when I was fifteen; over ten years ago. Friends and family used to ask me about how I created my makeup looks. Visuals in video format seem to describe them best. My first video was a rainbow eye look tutorial. I’ve always been an artist and thrive to create colourful and creative looks.
What do you love posting about on your channel?
I love sharing my knowledge in aesthetics, makeup, and fitness. All of my videos include elements of health and wellness. I’ve created a few videos on Diva Cups, my IUD experience, and other topics pertinent to teens and young adults. I am always conscious of those things I would have liked a friend or sister to share with me when I was growing up. My goal is to help my viewers become the best versions of themselves, regardless which beauty products they purchase and apply.
What is your favourite video?
Above all, I prefer my dupe videos, where I compared Inglot Freedom System Eye Shadows with the Anastasia Subculture Eyeshadow Palette. I enjoyed searching for the closest duplicates to the well-known palette, which was less successful than the company had hoped.
What is your #1 tip for others looking to start a beauty channel?
My top tip would be to get started! The first few videos may be less than perfect, but with time and practice you will improve. I struggled with editing my videos for years. Learning to do anything well takes time. I think consistency is really important in building a brand. It’s important to find a topic/topics that you enjoy and are passionate about. Once you have discovered your niche, you will want to film often!
